Train-the-Trainer is a two-day, intensive, yet practical program
focusing on assisting Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Nutraceutical industry
trainers. The course is designed to help trainers better deliver
information while providing tips and techniques to greatly improve training
effectiveness.
COURSE DESCRIPTION AND
OBJECTIVES
Specific instruction will be provided on improving instructional methods and
procedures. This will be accomplished through the use of interactive and
participatory teaching methods to achieve high levels of student participation
while achieving specified learning behaviors.
Additionally, at the conclusion of the course, each participant will be able
to:
- Define the educator’s current and emerging industry roles and
responsibilities.
- Utilize the primary principles of adult learning to develop and improve
instructional skills.
- Apply new instructional methods and techniques to improve student
participation and learning.
- Define behavioral objectives and use them to develop more effective lesson
plans and programs.
- Implement more effective communication skills to facilitate learning and to
enhance student participation.
- Deal efficiently and effectively with adverse classroom problems and
students.
- Develop job related and new employee training curriculums.
- Implement a training system that will meet FDA and EU expectations.
- Definition of trainers roles and responsibilities.
- Develop on-the-job training modules and programs.
- Define need for training and trainer consistency.
- Study the
fundamental principles of adult learning that serve as the basis for achieving desired
learning behaviors.
- Review of essential methods and techniques for effective instruction.
- Presenting methods and procedures for achieving high levels of learner participation.
- Enhancing
ability to develop and implement more effective behavioral objectives
and lesson plans.
- Methods and
procedures for maximizing communication for enhancing the learning experience.
- Enhancing the
effectiveness of various training aids to promote learning.
- Create assessments to check for knowledge & skills transfer.

Co-Presenter: Marlene Ranelli
Marlene Ranelli joined Pharmaceutical Training Seminars, Inc. as its Director of Training following a 37 year career at Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals. During this time, she served as a Quality Control chemist as well as corporate trainer, specializing in Train-the-Trainer and Quality Control programs. Marlene is a graduate of Lyons Institute for Medical Technology. In addition, she holds certifications in Instructional Design and Train-the-Trainer.
Since joining PTS, Marlene has assisted several emerging pharmaceutical and
biotech companies in developing training systems to meet FDA requirements.
Co-Presenter: Nancy Daniels, MBA
Nancy Daniels, MBA in Pharmaceutical Studies, BS in Chemistry is Director of Technial Training, Rosica Pharmaceutical Technical Services (RPTS). Prior to joining RPTS, she held various positions during her 15 year
career at Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals (SP). During her last four years with SP, she held the position of Global Training Manager. Nancy holds certifications for both Training Director and Instructional Designer.

Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. The program commences at 8:00 a.m. and
concludes at 4:30 p.m.
Dress is business casual.
Applicants may cancel up to fifteen business days prior to the start of the
course to receive a full refund. Substitutions may be made at any time prior to
the start of the course.
Our program can be customized and conducted at your company location.
