Our Management Team

  • Martin L. Jeiven, MS, BPharm, RPh

  • Martin L. Jeiven is the President and Founder of Jeiven Pharmaceutical Consulting, Inc. founded in 1989. Prior to this, Marty was the Manager of Clinical and Pre-Clinical materials at the R.W. Johnson Pharmaceutical Research Institute at Ortho Pharmaceutical Corporation. He also held the position of Research Pharmacist at Ciba-Geigy where he served as a development scientist in solid dosage formulation research before coming to Ortho in 1982.

    In an effort to create an atmosphere of information sharing in this highly specialized industry, Marty founded the Clinical Supplies Support Group (CSSG) in 1995. To better serve his clients’ needs, Marty has also established Pharmaceutical Training Seminars, Inc. (PTS), Pharmaceutical Staffing Solutions, LLC (PSS), and AdiraMedica, LLC.

    Marty earned his BS, BPharm and MS (Physiology) degrees from Rutgers University. He has done graduate work in animal physiology at Rutgers, and in medicine at the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium. Marty has practiced hospital and community pharmacy.

  • Ashutosh Sharma, PhD

  • Ashutosh Sharma, PhD, is Chief Scientific Officer and Vice President at Jeiven Pharmaceutical Consulting Inc. (JPC). At JPC, Dr. Sharma provides strategic vision to the development of client projects in the areas of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, combination drug/devices, in-vitro diagnostics, drug delivery, and iontophoretic products.

    Prior to JPC, Dr. Sharma was Chief Strategic Officer at Vyteris, Inc. a specialty pharmaceutical company, where his efforts were focused on promoting Vyteris’ Smart Patch technology, and identifying licensing and development opportunities for the technology. He also led the development of Vyteris’ active transdermal drug delivery systems based on the company’s patented platform technology which resulted in approval of first-ever active patch combination drug/device product by the FDA.

    Prior to joining Vyteris, Dr. Sharma worked at Becton Dickinson (BD) during which time he held positions as Program Manager for integrated drug delivery and diagnostic system and Manager, Intelligent Systems Development for BD's Consumer Healthcare Business.

    Dr. Sharma is a member of the Institutional Review Boards at the Kessler Foundation, New Jersey Institute of Technology, and the New York Blood Center. Dr. Sharma is also a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering. Dr. Sharma holds a B. Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur, India. He is also a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute holding M.S. degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Computer & Systems Engineering and a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering.

  • Arvind Bhandari, MS, BPharm

  • Arvind Bhandari is the Director of Project Management at Jeiven Pharmaceutical Consulting, Inc. Arvind serves as Vice President of AdiraMedica LLC. Prior to joining JPC, he worked for Shasun Chemicals and Drugs Ltd. in India as Business Development Manager for their US operations and previously as Deputy Head of Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance. He holds BPharm and MS (Chemistry) degrees from Birla Institute of Technology & Science in India.

  • Faye Varsolona, BS

  • Faye Varsolona, BS is Sr. Director of Operations for Jeiven Pharmaceutical Consulting, Inc. (JPC). Faye joined JPC in 2002 following a career as a Financial Advisor at Salomon Smith Barney, where she was responsible for investments and financial planning for individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations. At JPC, Faye is responsible for all client activities including: client proposals, client agreements, on-going project oversight, and the placement and review of all off-site consultants. In addition, Faye oversees marketing and business development initiatives for the various company divisions, and handles all IT related issues.

  • Editha Simon, BPharm, MBA

  • Editha Simon, BPharm, MBA is Director of Quality Compliance at Jeiven Pharmaceutical Consulting, Inc. She is an accomplished manager with expertise in compliance, quality assurance, clinical manufacturing, distribution, formulation, process development, and documentation. Editha has extensive experience in both large and small pharmaceutical companies involving compliance and preparation of IND/NDA documents including the preparation of CMC sections, packaging and distribution of clinical supplies, third party contract manufacturing, and development of a variety of pharmaceutical dosage and consumer forms.

  • Gregory P. Kushla, PhD

  • Greg Kushla, Executive Director brings more than 20 years experience to JPC. Prior to joining JPC, Greg was Sr. Director, Clinical Supply Operations for Daiichi Sankyo. In this role, Greg led all departmental clinical supply activities for approximately 25 programs. Prior to Daiichi Sankyo, he held pharmaceutical R&D management positions at Abbott Laboratories (formerly Knoll Pharmaceutical) and Parke-Davis. Greg brings his strong knowledge of clinical supplies, GMPs, and FDA regulations to our clients through his consulting, training, and auditing. He has consulted to numerous clients on clinical trial supplies planning and management, formulation development, CMC dossier review, and import/export issues.
